Burn
5.0 out of 5 stars — Just outstanding!
Amazon · May 1, 2022
I am so pleased that I gambled on this title, and was drawn in to the series. An outstanding story, with interesting characters, gutsy plot twists, plenty of belly laughs and drama. I wish there were more to the series. Kudos on a genuinely terrific piece of storytelling!

4.0 out of 5 stars — Great character development but read "Burn" first
Amazon · July 13, 2019
Good book second in the series but better than the first. Loved the book and the characters but not sure if I would have liked it so much if I had not read the first book "Burn". Looking forward to a sequel from Paul Slatter.

5.0 out of 5 stars — WOW!
Amazon · March 23, 2021
Best one yet! Suspense, terror, laughs, SEX, The Seven Deadly Sins! Mr. Slatter's forthright style and keen social observations reflect my own skewed worldview acquired as a reader, traveler and former policeman. Can't wait to read his next effort. Trust me!
The Disciples of Coont Draculi
5.0 out of 5 stars — Equal parts suspense and humour. A vampire like no other
Amazon · November 18, 2024
If you're like me and vampires typically don't make your reading list, The Coont might just change your mind—if only because it’s not your typical vampire tale. The real standout is the vampire protagonist: a horny, coked-up creature of the night with a slave who can’t seem to escape his grasp. Their interactions are chaotic and darkly comic. If you're in the mood for a bizarre, hilarious, and darkly comedic ride, The Coont delivers in spades.
Burn
4.0 out of 5 stars — This gem of a book is obscenely HILARIOUS!
Barnes & Noble · May 15, 2023
I love how Mr. Slatter gives us a delicious cast of unique characters, with their subplots beautifully crossing paths, making it a satisfying read. Underneath all this, it is an original Vancouver detective story with a heavy dose of nail-biting suspense.
Rock Solid
5.0 out of 5 stars — Guy Ritchie action in book form
Amazon · September 29, 2018
This book had me laughing out loud. To get the full flavor, start with the first book, Burn. You will be introduced to an improbably connected group of Canadians, engaged in absurdist adventures, with a touch of crime fighting thrown in. A great bit of entertainment.
Burn
5.0 out of 5 stars — Raw and gripping
Amazon review
The characters are broken, the world is bleak, and yet somehow it's laugh-out-loud funny. Paul Slatter has crafted a truly original narrative voice.

The Disciples of Coont Draculi
5.0 out of 5 stars — Not Your typical Vampire tale!
Amazon review
This isn't your typical vampire tale. The Coont is a hilarious, coked-up bloodsucker in a world of hookers, dwarfs, and chaos. If you're in the mood for something darkly comic and bizarre, this is it.
Burn

Paul Slatter’s characters carried over nicely from the first novel. The main bad guy in this book at first I hated. But near the end I liked him. Paul Slatter is a great writer and I look forward to reading his next book.

3.0 out of 5 stars — More outrageous than Burn
Reviewed on Goodreads, November 21, 2019
This is the sequel to Burn and you need to read that one first in order to really get this one. Same wacky characters and then some, throw in a few oddball villains, some dry humor, raunch, and sweet romance. Took a while to get going, but by 30% I was hooked. Leaves you primed and ready for book three.
